Clashes in North Lebanon

17/05/2012 3:00 pm

Lebanon and Syria

In today's Middle East Analysis, we join Bishops' consultant Dr Harry Hagopian as we focus on the latest developments in the Middle East North Africa (MENA) region.

In particular, we look at the latest events in Lebanon - a country Pope Benedict will be visiting in September to sign the Apostolic Exhortation. Clashes in the north of the country between the Sunni and Alawite communities over the uprisings in Syria have raised the temperature of the whole region.

Palestine and Syria also briefly come under the spotlight.
