Molokai film

The Church meets pop culture for this podcast series of Advent reflections. Fr Peter Malone MSC relates 28 movies to the Gospel.

Following an Advent Calendar theme, one MP3 review is uploaded for each day of Advent.

Week ONE: Thursday

Molokai (1999)

"They don't make so many films about saints but sometimes a saint stands out. Because of his reputation and recent Canonisation, a look at the life of this dedicated Belgian priest [Fr Damien] who was able to establish not just faith for the lepers but a healthier and more spiritual way of life - he certainly is a marvellous example of someone who builds their house on rock."
