A Civil Action

John Travolta in 'A Civil Action'

The Church meets pop culture for this podcast series of Advent reflections. Fr Peter Malone MSC relates 28 movies to the Gospel.

Following an Advent Calendar theme, one MP3 review is uploaded for each day of Advent.

Week THREE: Tuesday

A Civil Action (1998)

"The Gospel is highlighting the challenge, are we people who say: 'Oh yes Lord, I'll do exactly what you want' but then don't. Or are we people - which we are - who say: 'No I won't do that' but somehow something touches our hearts and of course we do what God wants us to do. A Civil Action  sums up this Advent challenge."
