Celebrating the birth of our Lord and Saviour, the Bishops of England and Wales release their Christmas messages and then, a few days later, Pastoral Letters for the Feast of the Holy Family.

The latter falls this year on Sunday 28 December. The Bishops' pastoral letters will be read out in the parishes of their respective dioceses on 27/28 December. They will also be carried on the diocesan websites linked at the foot of this article.

Marriage and Family

Following on from the Extraordinary Synod of Bishops on the Family that took place in Rome in October, there's a special invitation from the bishops this year to reflect on marriage and family life.
