If you’re watching this video you’ll understand how important communications is today - especially communications through social media.

Around the Feast of Ascension we make an appeal to you to generously support the communications work of the church nationally. It’s important work – our main interface with the national media – and the good people in our communications office keep our social communications going.

So if you want to know what's going on in the Catholic Church, if you want to know how we're relating to the issues of the day, then this team’s the one that really puts that news out.

But they need your support. They need the support of us all because not only is this work important but it demands a dedication as well.

Please support our communications work in this modern world. It’s so, so important that people can understand what the Church actually does rather than what other people say or think that we do.

This Communications Day please do remember our work and support it generously.

Thank you very much.
