Pope Francis in Korea

Pope Francis arrives in Seoul, the capital of South Korea, on Thursday, 14 August 2014. The Holy Father is in South Korea during the Sixth Asian Youth Day held in the Catholic Diocese of Daejeon. As well as meeting and praying with young people, Pope Francis will beatify Paul Yun Ji-Chung and 123 martyr companions at Gwanghwamun Gate in Seoul. He will meet the President of the Republic, Park Geun-hye at the "Blue House" in Seoul. The Pope will also visit a rehabilitation centre for disabled people at the "House of Hope" in Kkottongnae and will meet with religious communities, Asian bishops, and various dignitaries.
